In 2000 I had 4 boxes of watercolors for a show in New Orleans refused by UPS because they were framed with glass and not double boxed. Even though I had packed the livin' bejesus out of them to insure safe transport. I gave the problem some serious consideration, sent the work Fedex Ground, and decided that just maybe I'd had enough of works on paper, with all the framing costs and inherent shipping difficulties. At that point, I started painting on wood in acrylics ands haven't looked back. For the most part, the new paintings are finished with crackle varnish, a final coat of picture varnish, the edges are painted and they are good to go. No fuss, no muss, no glass.
To summorize, the Acylics are the newer work, the Watercolors were done before 2000, and the prints are an ongoing experiemt melding art and commerce. For the latest work, check out the What's New Section of my site, as I'll always putting up new work.
